Plantar fasciitis is
one of the most common causes of heel pain. It involves inflammation of a thick
band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes (plantar fascia)
Causes
- repetitive
strain injury to the ligament of the sole of the foot
- excessive
running or walking
- inadequate foot gear
- jumping
injury from landing.
Symptoms

Sharp heel pain. A sharp pain at the inside of the heel (just behind the arch of the
foot) is a hallmark of plantar fascia.

Pain after prolonged
rest
·
Pain after prolonged
activity
·
Heel tenderness
·
Pain when flexing
· Foot tingling or burning
